These shutters were commissioned to provide some privacy from the street outside whilst allowing light to stream in from higher up the window.

The shutters were made from ply and soft wood in order to be lightweight, easy to use and affordable.

They were scorched with the Japanese ‘shou sugi ban’ method for wood preservation (and beautiful aesthetics) and fastened with stylish brass fixings.
